Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, aka Lewis Carroll (1832–1898), was an English writer, mathematician, logician, deacon and photographer. He is most famous for his timeless classics, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. His work falls within the genre of ‘literary nonsense’, and he is renowned for his use of word play and imagination. Carroll’s work has been enjoyed by many generations across the globe.
Lewis Carroll (1832-1898) was an English logician, mathematician, photographer, and novelist who is especially remembered for Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel, Through the Looking-Glass. Frances Hodgson Burnett (1849–1924) was an English-American author and playwright. She is best known for her incredibly popular novels for children, including Little Lord Fauntleroy, A Little Princess, and The Secret Garden. The Brothers Grimm were Jacob Ludwig Karl Grimm (1785–1863) and Wilhelm Carl Grimm (1786–1859) who were German academics, philologists, cultural researchers, lexicographers and authors who together collected and published folklore during the 19th century. They were among the first and best-known collectors of German and European folk tales.
