“Nation by Terry Pratchett carves a home into your heart. Disguised as a YA love story, Nation is a hero's journey based in the era of colonial England about what it means to grow up, what community means, and how we are supposed to live after tragedy. Equally witty and crushing, you will laugh, cry, blow your nose on your last good handkerchief, etc. Stephen Briggs is a delightful and rather fitting narrator for all of Pratchett's audiobooks, but he shines in Nation, echoing the radio-drama productions of Pratchett's other works, and reflecting the oral tradition of the title setting. Pratchett himself called Nation the 'best book he has ever written, or will write,' and if that doesn't urge you to pick this up, I don't know what will. A wonderful choice for a family road trip listen.”

Sir Terry also received a prestigious Printz Honor from the American Library Association for his novel Dodger.
