“UGH!! If I could inject this book into my bloodstream I would. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK! This was such a fun contemporary romance book that was endearing and a lil frustrating (the back and forth with the main characters made me want to scream bc I just wanted them to kiss). Borison did a great job developing the characters, giving us an insight into their thoughts, and taking us on a rollercoaster of emotions along with our FMC and MMC. The thoughts from Aiden and his anti-romance stance keeping him from finding happiness (explained beautifully during his character building) to the contrast to Lucie’s thoughts and her nightmarish experiences with dating makes for such a wonderful story full of love, discovery, and growth.”

“This adorable slow-burn romance between single mom Lucie, a romantic who thinks she doesn’t need a shot at love, and romance show radio host Aiden, who thinks he doesn’t deserve one. It’s especially sweet that unbeknownst to Lucie and Aiden, everyone is rooting for them, especially Lucie’s family. ”

“Do you love slow-burn romance, witty banter, and a touch of anonymous pining? Because First-Time Caller is bringing all of that and more with a charming, radio-show-meets-secret-crush setup that had me grinning like an idiot the entire time. Cue tension, unexpected confessions, and a whole lot of “oh no, they’re perfect for each other” moments. It’s cozy, it’s swoony, and it’s the perfect book to curl up with when you need a serotonin boost. Final thoughts? If you don’t finish this book with a ridiculous smile on your face, I’ll be shocked.”

A hopeless romantic meets a jaded radio host in this cozy, Sleepless in Seattle–inspired love story from beloved author B.K. Borison.
Aiden Valentine has a secret: he’s fallen out of love with love. And as the host of Baltimore’s romance hotline, that’s a bit of a problem. But when a young girl calls in to the station asking for dating advice for her mom, the interview goes viral, thrusting Aiden and Heartstrings into the limelight.
Lucie Stone thought she was doing just fine. She has a good job; an incredible family; and a smart, slightly devious kid. But when all of Baltimore is suddenly scrutinizing her love life—or lack thereof—she begins to question if she’s as happy as she believed. Maybe a little more romance wouldn’t be such a bad thing.
Everyone wants Lucie to find her happy ending…even the handsome, temperamental man calling the shots. But when sparks start to fly behind the scenes, Lucie must make the final decision between the radio-sponsored happily ever after or the man in the headphones next to her.
B.K. Borison lives in Baltimore with her sweet husband, vivacious toddler, and giant dog. She started writing in the margins of books when she was in middle school and hasn’t stopped.
