There are two things about the Soul Spinners' greatest creation on which everyone agrees – one, that the Notes have the power to grant a single wish, and two … that the Notes are lost.

When a ghost-eating wraith appears in the forgotten seaside town of Elston-Fright searching for the magical Notes, it's enough to make any kid ghost a bit nervous. Faye de Corail may have the townsfolk under her spell, but Girl, Corpse and their friends are determined to stay out of her way.

After old foes resurface and a child is snatched, Girl and Corpse begin to piece together a sinister plan that not only threatens the lives of their friends, families and the people of Elston-Fright, it may send them all to Death Proper too.

Somehow, at the heart of the mystery, lies the truth about both kid ghosts. Who are Girl and Corpse really? What is their connection to the lost Notes? And will they find answers before it's too late?

Reece Carter is the bestselling author of A Girl Called Corpse. His new novel for children, The Lonely Lighthouse of Elston-Fright, is out now. His love for stories – especially those filled with whimsy, magic, and a little bit of weirdness – began as a child growing up in rural Western Australia. There was an unfortunate lack of witches and ghosts on his family farm, and so Reece had to find them in books instead. It wasn’t until high school though that Reece thought to try his hand at writing his own stories. He loved it, and never looked back. Reece now lives in Sydney. When not reading or writing, he can usually be found talking to his dog, Hagrid, and hoping that one of these days Hagrid might decide to talk back.

Gabriella is a pint-sized Melbourne based singer, actor, musician and vocal teacher who holds a double degree in Music and Performing Arts and has received further training at 16th Street, TAFTA & Melbourne Actors’ Lab. Gabriella made her start in the performing industry at age 12 as a featured face in the iconic ‘I Still Call Australia Home’ Qantas ad. A spooky, funny, magical and atmospheric adventure. I loved it!' (on A Girl Called Corpse) 'Wonderfully imaginative and enthralling.'
