Perchance to Dream is an origin story to Isobelle Carmody's, Comes The Night, and tells the story of Anna whose estate set up and operates the Sleep Research Institute, and introduces the compelling Nicholas. The story was first published in the multi-award-winning collection Dreaming Again, edited by Jack Dann. Having written the story, Isobelle could never put the work she had created to bed. The dreamscape beckoned and led her to write Comes the Night which was longlisted for the 2024 Indie Awards in the YA category.

Isobelle Carmody began the first of her highly acclaimed Obernewtyn Chronicles while she was still at high school, and worked on it while completing a Bachelor of Arts and then a journalism cadetship. The series, and her short stories, have established her at the forefront of fantasy writing in Australia. She is now the award-winning author of several novels and many short stories for children and adults. Isobelle divides her time between her home in Australia and her travels abroad.
