Andrew Brown never has enough time. No time to call his sister, or to prepare for that important presentation at the bank where he works. The train's late, the lift jams. If only he'd had just a little more time. And time is the business of Mr Symington and Mr Blenkinsop. They'll lend him some - at a very reasonable rate of interest. Can the Doctor, Amy and Rory stop them before they cash in their investments?

Read by Meera Syal, this is a thrilling race against the clock from Naomi A. Alderman, the Baileys Prize winning author of The Power, featuring the Eleventh Doctor, Amy and Rory, as played by Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill in the spectacular hit Doctor Who series from BBC Television.

โ€˜Alderman is a fluent and powerful writerโ€™ - Sunday Times

Naomi A. Alderman grew up in London and attended Oxford University and UEA. She is the author of four novels. Naomiโ€™s 2017 novel, The Power was the winner of the 2017 Baileys womenโ€™s prize for fiction. In 2006 she won the Orange Award for New Writers. In 2007, she was named Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year, and one of Waterstones' 25 Writers for the Future.
In 2012, she co-created the top-selling smartphone fitness game and audio adventure Zombies, Run!, which is a market leader and has been downloaded millions of times. She is one of the presenters of Science Stories, a programme about the history of science on BBC Radio 4, as well as presenting many one-off documentaries.

Naomi is Professor of Creative Writing at Bath Spa University, has been mentored by Margaret Atwood as part of the Rolex Mentor and Protรฉgรฉ Arts Initiative, and in April 2013 she was named one of Granta's Best of Young British Novelists in their once-a-decade list. Her previous books have all been published by Penguin.

Meera Syal, CBE, is one of our most acclaimed actors and writers of stage and screen. She starred in the hit series The Kumars at No. 42 and recently in the BBC film of David Walliams' The Boy in the Dress. She is currently in David Hare's play Behind the Beautiful Forevers at the National Theatre, and in the latest series of Broadchurch. Meera is also known for her funny, sharp and provocative fiction. Her two earlier novels are Anita and Me (a national curriculum set text) and Life Isn't all Ha Ha Hee Hee. The House of Hidden Mothers is her long-awaited third novel.
