This story about friendship and sign language was created by The Gruffalo author Julia Donaldson with a group of deaf children in a workshop organised by the not-for-profit organization Life & Deaf which helps deaf children to explore their identities through poetry, film, performance and art.

Julia Donaldson has written some of the world's best-loved children's books, including modern classics The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child, which together have sold over 18 million copies worldwide and have been translated into over one hundred languages.
