The poems are about things I truly care about, places and things that inspired me, and I’d like to send my message to everyone who loves poetry.
I was born in the East End of London, at the end of the second World war. I grew up there until I was 12 years old. My family moved down to Oxford, I went to Teacher Training College, and became a primary school teacher, which I have done on and off for 50 years. Poetry was one of the things I encouraged children to do, and this inspired me to put down my thoughts on paper.
