“This was my first audio book from Libro.fm and I was absolutely hooked. I love a fantasy book with dual pov and to have it narrated by two people I found this so immersive! This book is the start of a spin off series from Helen Scheuerer's series The Legends of Thezmarr with reoccurring characters, however the way this novel is written meant that you don't need to have read the previous series, though I definitely will be returning to Thezmarr in the future. It is your classic fantasy novel filled with magic, alchemy and war paired with the perfect slow burn romance. The ending has set it up for what I can imagine to be a really engaging fantasy series and I can't wait to see what is next for Torj and Wren. ”

Though our main characters are Wren and Torj, there is still a lot of interactions with our side characters from Legends. I definitely think you should read the Legends of Thezmarr series prior to starting the Ashes of Thezmarr series. There is so many little (a couple) of big spoilers to that series. Plus you get a lot of added backstory on our main and side characters. This series is set up to be another epic story line where our badass FMC helps take down the enemy.
