“I rarely go for recordings with multiple narrators (personal preference only), and it's even less often that I definitively recommend folks pick the audiobook over print regardless of their usual method of consuming literature. But THIS BOOK!! Producing the audio edition as a true crime podcast (because, you know, the story is about a woman making a podcast), was BRILLIANT and SO WELL DONE! 10/10, no notes on production. The story is absolutely compelling and I love me an unreliable narrator. My only complaint is with the epilogue, but you know what? My complaint will always be with the epilogue, so don't worry. Just read it. You won't regret. ”

“Some similar themes to some of her other books (TW: sexual abuse of minors) but still really enjoyed! When you think you know what happened it changes again! ”

“I enjoy a good thriller - and this one fit the bill! Interesting premise, believable characters, good storytelling and plot twists. The narrators did a great job giving each person a voice, making it pleasurable to listen. ”

“Wow - many of the characters in this book reaffirm my belief that the more people I meet the more I love my dogs! Nasty, dysfunctional, controlling and selfish are the nicest descriptors I can thank of for a member of the Fair clan. I liked the inserts of the fall out of what has not happened yet in the book so that you know something awful is upcoming, but you just don't know what - yet. Alix Summer and Josie Fair happen to have the same dates of births and were born in the same hospital. Birthday twins. They meet when Josie follows Alix into the bathroom at the restaurant where they are all dining on their 45th birthdays. Alix has just finished a podcast series called 'All Woman'. Josie becomes obsessed with Alix and listens to podcast series religiously. She is miserable in a marriage to a man that she met when she was 15 and he was 42 (and dating her mother)... Josie believes there is something in the universe bringing Alix and her together. She talks Alix into meeting with her and proposes a podcast featuring someone who is about to change their life...But Alix soon discovers that Josie is not who she claims to be, and the real Josie is about to be exposed. Who is this person that she has let into her life and her home? This is a completely addictive and moody read with twists and turns that keep you hooked until the unexpected ending. ”

“I love a good psychological thriller, but I’m not as keen on unreliable narrators, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I mean, it lays it all out there in the title: none of this is true. So, although I thought I had it all figured out pretty early on, this book really kept me guessing – and second-guessing myself! The title instilled enough doubt in everything going on that I wasn’t sure which characters to trust, whose side of the story was true, and who was manipulating whom. I was dying to find out what really happened, and at the same time, I felt as if I was watching a horror movie while peeking through my fingers. I think Lisa Jewell does a great job with the dark subject matter to create a suspenseful story that you can’t help but get swept up into.”

“While a singular unreliable narrator throws any story for a loop, imagine a book with multiple unreliable narrators and WOW! You have None of This is True" in a nutshell. This psychological thriller kept me on the edge of my seat and continually wondering what pile of crazy was coming next. I am still puzzling over what really happened and who (if anyone) was telling the truth. ”

“We loved this psychological thriller!!! Gritty and dark characters warped by their experiences and fighting inner demons left us invested in the characters and absolutely surprised by the ending!!! Twists and turns begin with a pair of birthday twins, two women born at the same hospital on the same day, who meet by accident while celebrating their 45th birthday. This shared birthday is the only thing they have in common, and yet their lives twist together. Characters are fantastically portrayed, plot is tight and fraught with tension, and the twists and turns are well developed. ”
