What You’ll Learn
Italian Level 2 builds upon skills taught in Pimsleur’s Italian Level 1.

In ItalianLevel 2, you'll continue to use the past tense and expand your understanding of more complex structures. You'll engage in conversations on various subjects, and as your vocabulary grows, you'll notice an increase in your fluency. Topics of discussion include social activities, employment, professions, expressing interests, directions, transportation, travel plans, sports and leisure activities, and the weather. Additionally, you'll learn to use comparatives, such as "faster" and "slower."

By the end of Level 2, you'll have doubled your vocabulary and acquired several hundred sentence structures. You'll find you're speaking at a mid-intermediate level with near-native pronunciation and will feel comfortable meeting most social demands.

Reading lessons are included to give you practice reading Italian and to provide new vocabulary. Through these reading lessons, you'll refine your pronunciation of Italian words and enhance your understanding of sentence structure and rhythm. Before you know it, you’ll be reading Italian with the ease and flexibility of a native speaker.
