Masters says, "I see anger as the guardian of boundaries. I see a lot of people caught in spiritual bypassing as having such poor boundaries they cannot say a clear no. They are overly attached to being nice, and sweet, and go to look positive. There is this addiction to being positive. And, they are, in a sense, being negative about their negativity."
Besides anger, Masters talks about how our resistance to pain makes the pain worse. He suggests we soften around the pain, which can begin to remove the drama around our suffering. How can we develop the skill to create some room around pain? The answer to this and many other questions serve as the focus of this deep dialogue. (hosted by Michael Toms)
