Summary

In the throes of the Trojan War, the Greek fleet is becalmed at Aulis. The seer Calchas reveals that Agamemnon, the leader of the Greeks, must sacrifice his daughter Iphigenia to appease the goddess Artemis. Agamemnon, torn between his duty to his country and his love for his child, must make a heart-wrenching decision.
