Summary

Romantic poetry focuses on personal emotions, mystery, introspection and the soul of peoples. Poems are exalted, melancholic, idealistic, exciting and sincere, of an overflowing intensity, and formally explore new forms that break with the tradition, while approaching the popular by incorporating elements such as Castilian romance. Humour or social denunciation are also present, particularly in the female writers.
