Summary

After her husband's death, Mrs. Dashwood and her children left their beloved home and moved to Barton estate. Two of her daughters - eligible young women - though different in character, are equally seeking happiness and love. The emotional, impulsive Marianne dreams of a charming, sensitive man who enjoys the same books as she does. The gentle and sensible Eleanor will give her heart only to a calm and responsible person. Unfortunately, the world - ruled by social position and money instead of true feelings - may painfully disappoint these charming, trusting women...
