Summary

Sabers are rattling and the economy is tanking in 1937 when Walter, a young struggling farmer in Colorado meets Margaret, an independent and salaried woman shortly before she returns to teach English in North Dakota. Aside from a brief visit, the courtship between these blossoming soulmates resides entirely in these letters.
